Travel insurance is a vital aspect to booking a holiday, giving you protection against unforeseen circumstances that could otherwise spoil your holiday. It is a condition of booking with Sociable Summit that you have adequate valid travel insurance. It is your responsibility to arrange appropriate travel insurance and ensure you have read and understood the full terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy to ensure that you are covered for all activities you intend to undertake whilst on the trip, including all optional activities.
If you have not already arranged cover, and are a UK resident, you could consider contacting our recommended Travel Insurance provider, Campbell Irvine who offer Travel Insurance specifically designed to cover travel with Sociable Summit, or call them on 01702 427161.
Campbell Irvine x Sociable Summit
If you have booked flights independently, you may wish to consider arranging insurance in addition to the cover granted under Campbell Irvine’s standard travel insurance policy to cover the cost of a cancelled itinerary if your airline cancels your flight and you cannot make it to the start of your tour.
Medical cover
Your Insurance Policy must fully cover you for medical expenses and emergency repatriation to your home country. Medical and repatriation insurance cover is not mandatory for UK residents who are travelling on trips within the United Kingdom, although you may still want to consider taking out cancellation insurance.
Suitability for all activities
You should check your chosen policy to ensure it covers all of the activities which may be included in your trip. If your trip takes place at altitude you should check that these activities, such as cycling or trekking are still covered as some policies have an altitude ceiling for their cover. If you need to check any details of the activities on your trip just give us a call.
